Abstract:

In this session we will hear from INRC members about neuromorphic sensors under development in the tactile and visual domains, and how they’re being used in applications ranging from robotics to autonomous vehicles and space.

The session aims to highlight the current state-of-the-art for these sensors and the forward looking roadmap, including the types of algorithms and computing architectures that are required to unlock their full potential and other remaining challenges to address on the path to widespread adoption.

Audio sensors and processing will be covered in a separate dedicated session and examples of event-based vision algorithms running on Loihi will be covered in the session prior to this one.
